Most of the well-known tourist destinations around the globe are only good to visit once a year, as most of these places only become alive and colourful either during summer, spring, autumn and winter. But there is one place in America where natural beauty reigns and endless list of fun activities dominate the vacay experiences of tourists.

This little place is known to be the state of Oregon.

A little adventure in the land of changes may start with mornings of exciting hikes along the rugged seacoasts of Oregon where friendly whales happily greeting each other good morning would never be out of sight. There is a long stretch of tranquil public beaches so tourists surely will never run out of space for viewing the playful whales and admiring the view of the sunrise.

But beaches are not the only the gift of nature to those who came to witness the unfolding of beautiful sceneries. Those who are revved up for some action in the great outdoors can definitely have the time of their lives exploring the high deserts across the state where snow sports are ironically enjoyed by most tourists. And not because the desert is named—well—deserts, tourists can’t have a blast enjoying different water sports, hiking, camping and hunting because the definitely can in Oregon.

What is great about Oregon is that it caters both to slow-paced tour-loving visitors and to adventurous and outgoing ones.
Think of a mystical place where the pristine waterfalls create a magnificent view and makes the lush forests and grasslands more alive. While this may seem to only exist in the magical world of fairies in the pages of story books, Oregon can surely make any little girls’ fairy tale fantasies of a perfect getaway come to life. Come to Columbia River George and see for yourself.

And speaking of satisfying the kids and the kids at heart, tourists can immediately erase the chocolate factory from their minds and enjoy the nostalgia brought by a visit to the Kidd’s Toy Museum where toys from different eras are found and preserved.  But be warned that the toys in the museum are really not those stuff that would make a kid believe in the colourful land of unicorns and rainbow colored smiles. Because beneath all those shelves lie the weirdest toys from ancient people – kinda like a trip to the Charlie Brown’s factory if you look at it.

And just when kids start believing the Lassie is the smartest dog in the world, the introduction of Bobbie the Wonder Dog will make them have a second thought. Bobbie’s infamy started when his owners find him outside their home after losing him six months ago in their trip to Indiana. While there are many sceptics, Bobbie was believed to have thousands of miles, crossing plains, mountains and rivers even amidst winter for six months just to be able to go home.

With the dog’s amazing story, he was featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not with a Hollywood movie to boot. Forty thousand people stood in line just to be able to pet him during the Portland Home Show. Years after, he was buried to the deluxe dog house given to him as a gift and remained to be one of the wanted destinations in Oregon up until today.
