The Silver State is what it is called, mainly due to silver rush that has occurred in its past. But today, it is where we all know that we can see a lot of bright things, and if you strike it lucky, gold, and money, is bountiful. But this is not just what this state is all about, there is many more to see in Nevada.

 

We definitely know that this is the home to not just one, but two places to get rich, if you are lucky enough, known to us as Las Vegas, the sin city, and Reno, its baby. These two places are very popular for extravagant resorts and hotels, and tons and tons of neon lights that always put up a show that can please the eyes. And with all these hotels and resorts, they are always paired with famous casinos. Once you get into the Las Vegas strip, be ready for a gamble where you will surely win. Famous hotels are all around, including one that was shown in the movie “Ocean’s Eleven” which is the Bellagio. But this is just one of the highlights of this state, since we all know that this is what it has become famous for. The outdoor enthusiast will also never fall short of famous attractions here and still can be considered lucky.

 

Hitting the slopes cannot be thought of in this state because it basically is a desert filled with plateaus, hills, and numerous rock formations. But there is one mountain range that the name of this state has been derived from. The Sierra Nevada mountain range holds some of the famous ski resorts that can be found in this state. Skiers will definitely enjoy hitting the slopes on these mountains as they traverse on the ski trails covered in powdery white snow. For those who do love trekking, this mountain range also has something to offer. Close to the foot of the mountains, hiking trails are also available for those outdoor lovers.

 

Even for the ones who love water sports cannot run out of activities to do. Situated also within the state is the famous Lake Tahoe which offers a huge area of water that can cater to most, if not all water sports like swimming, water skiing, even a bit of sailing. Resorts also line up the shore in this area of the state where people can also enjoy a bit of sun bathing or strolling along the shores of the lake. For those who love to go underwater, snorkeling and dive sites are also found in the lake. Also across the shores, people who love hiking and cycling can also be catered in this area.

 

See, this state is not only known for the gambling and extravagant areas it has. Activities and spots are also available for those who prefer to enjoy the great outdoors, or who prefer to get wet, or even hit the slopes. Being an all rounded state, this is what is great about Nevada.
